What is Diabetic Retinopathy?
This form of retinopathy is potentially blinding and is a complication caused by diabetes that results in the damaging of the eyes retina. Unfortunately it affects up to half of all patients diagnosed with diabetes at some point. The good news however is that with timely treatment 90 percent of all of those patients diagnosed with Advanced Diabetic Retinopathy can be saved from going blind.
